Course Overview
Baseline Training delivers the CPP30411 - Certificate III in Security Operations qualification reflects the role of workers who are new guards, and is the perfect course for those who want to get into the security industry. On completion of the course learners have the potential to move into management and supervisory roles within the Security Industry. The course allows learners to apply for their Queensland unarmed Security licence with Crowd control - You do not need to complete the Certificate II in Security, if you’re completing this version of the Certificate III in Security Operations 


Designed for
Those learners wishing to undertake roles within the security industry to obtain the knowledge and practical skills required to work as a security officer, or manager/supervisor positions. These skills will be gained through a combination of practical training, including role plays, and theory concluding in a Nationally Recognised qualification. 

Pre-requisites
Learners to enter into this course, they must:

  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Have no previous criminal convictions in the past 10 years
    (Note: driving offences (e.g. speeding, drink driving, etc.) are not normally disqualifying offences.)
  • Be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold the appropriate Visa to work within the Security Industry in QLD. 

In addition, the learner must successfully complete the Baseline LLN assessment. 

Due to the amount of reading and writing involved in the course, it is recommended that you have a grade 10 level of English understanding, reading and writing. This course for a Queensland Security license only. For participants in other states, please check with your relevant state and territory licensing and regulatory authorities.

  • CPPSEC3006A - Coordinate a quality security service to customers

  • CPPSEC2011B - exits to and exits from premises
  • CPPSEC2012A - Monitor and control individual and crowd behaviour
  • CPPSEC2014A - Operate basic security equipment
  • CPPSEC2015A - Patrol premises
  • CPPSEC3013A - Control persons using empty hand techniques
  • CPPSEC3020A - Monitor security from control room
  • HLTAID003 - Provide first aid

Delivery Method
Learners will have up to 12 Months from course commencement to complete the course.
 
Rolling Intakes
For public courses, Baseline Training provides a rolling intake model, where once a month a one-day face to face interactive workshop is conducted, which requires learners to participate in theory and practical activities. During each month, learners will need to complete a log of work within the workplace relevant to their studies.
 
Block Sessions - face to face
Face to face interactive workshops requiring learners to attend five days participating in both theory and practical activities. After the completion of the face to face workshops, learners will have access to the blearning portal in which the learner has 12 months to submit assessments.
 
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
RPL is available for those with adequate industry experience. Please contact us for more information on how to produce an RPL evidence portfolio.
 
Assessment
Assessment activities may include a combination of knowledge questions, scenarios and workplace projects. Upon successful completion of the qualification, learners will be awarded the CPP30411 - Certificate III in Security Operations.
 
Study Pathways

Learners who successfully complete the CPP30411 - Certificate III in Security Operations qualification can engage in further training to complete full qualification/s from the CPP07 Training Package. Baseline can provide advice on CPP07 as a pathway to complete a full/higher qualification or further their career pathway.
