FIRST AID - LVR UETTDRRF06B Perform rescue from a Live LV Panel inc CPR


Our nationally accredited Perform rescue from a Live LV Panel (UETTDRRF06B) course will provide participants with the skills and knowledge to effectively respond to an electrical emergency using a low voltage rescue kit and perform CPR on a casualty who has stopped breathing. Suitable for electricians needing a CPR/LVR certificate.


 

Introduction

The HLTAID001 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)  course is trained over 3 hours and will provide students will skills and knowledge in providing CPR, managing and accessing an emergency situation, DRSABCD, use of automatic external defibrillator and first aiders legal responsibilities. 

The UETTDRRF06B - Perform Rescue from a Live LV Panel (LVR) component is trained within 1-2 hours in conjunction with the CPR course, which provides electricians with skills and knowledge on how to conduct risk assessments of an electrically hazardous situation and perform low voltage rescue procedures without hazard to themselves and others.

Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements stipulated for this program, however candidates must possess basic literacy and numeracy skills in order to

  • Interpret manufacturer’s instructions
  • Communicate incident details to emergency response services
  • Report details of incident to workplace supervisor
  • Complete documentation in accordance with workplace policy and procedures.

Learning Methods

Assessment
The assessment for this course includes a written assessment to evaluate knowledge and a practical component in which candidate’s will be required to demonstrate LVR rescue techniques and CPR ability. The assessment for HLTAID001 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation has been designed to assess a person’s competence in accordance with the Health Training Package (HLT07), any relevant Legislation and the proprietary requirements of the organisation or workplace. The assessment for UETTDRRF06B Perform Rescue from a Live LV Panel has been designed to assess a person’s competence in accordance with the Transmission, Distribution and Rail Sector Training Package (UET12).
