Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO) Refresher

All personnel involved in maritime and port security activities are required by law to undertake training to comply with the Maritime Transport & Offshore Facilities Security Act (The Act).

Baseline Training Pty Ltd offers a program delivered in an online format, and is designed to recognise current competence, and identify skill/knowledge gaps tailored to Australian Legislation and the specific needs of staff working in Australian Ports and Port Facilities.

Must have completed the Port Facility Security Officer Training Program.


Participants sit a challenge test that covers all relevant areas of PFSO activities. Should any skill/knowledge gaps be identified, the participant is automatically enrolled in the corresponding lessons. The benefits of this process are:

  • can be undertaken at a time that suits the participant
  • the process recognises current competence of each participant
  • an individual learning plan is created should skill/knowledge gaps exist
  • a low-cost solution to maintain competence

Targeted Audience

Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements stipulated for this program, however candidates must possess basic literacy and numeracy skills in order to communicate and complete documentation in accordance with workplace policy and procedures.
