STANDARD 11 GENERIC INDUCTION COAL SURFACE

What is Standard 11?

Standard 11 was introduced in Queensland in 2011. This course exists to make sure that all mining employees are adequately trained to cope with mining operations and to ensure that they are fully aware of the hazards that exist in a mining environment. Standard 11 is a revised version of what was previously known as the ‘Generic Induction,’ which was introduced in 2010.  Standard 11 introduces a new standard for meeting health and safety obligations in the coal mining industry in Queensland. In order to pass this induction and be deemed competent to work in QLD mine sites, students must pass all of the core Units of Competency.
